Privacy Policy

mindset-test.org is designed to minimise data collection. There are no user accounts, no email sign-ups, and no persistent identifiers linked to your answers. This privacy policy explains, in plain language, what is and is not collected, and how European data-protection rules (GDPR) and Google's Consent Mode v2 apply on this site.

Standard test mode. When you take the individual Mindset Test, your 16 answers are held in your browser and used to compute your result locally. Individual answers are not stored on our servers in a form linked to your identity. A global anonymous completion counter is incremented, but that counter contains no information about who you are or what you answered.

Classroom Mode. When you join a Classroom session, your answers contribute to an aggregated group result that the facilitator can see once a minimum group size is reached. Facilitators never see individual answers. Classroom sessions and the aggregated data auto-delete after 30 days.

Cookies and local storage. Essential cookies and local-storage entries are used to remember your language choice, your consent decision, and any test progress you have not yet submitted. These are set without a consent prompt because they are strictly necessary for the site to work.

Analytics and advertising. Google Analytics and Google AdSense are loaded only if you accept optional cookies in the consent banner. If you decline, no analytics or advertising scripts are loaded and no advertising or analytics identifiers are set. This site implements Google Consent Mode v2 so consent state is communicated correctly to Google's tags.

Your rights under GDPR. You can withdraw consent at any time from the 'Cookie settings' link in the footer. Because no account is created and no directly identifying information is collected in standard mode, most subject-access and deletion requests are moot on our side — there is no personal data linked to you to return or delete. You can clear your browser's local storage to remove any in-browser state.

Data sharing. We do not sell personal data. Aggregated, non-identifying statistics may be published for editorial purposes (for example, 'X people have completed the test'). Advertising and analytics providers process data under their own privacy policies, only after you have consented.

Security. The site is served over HTTPS. Server-side data (the anonymous counter, Classroom aggregates) is held with a reputable managed backend provider and is subject to that provider's security controls. Changes to this policy. Substantive changes are noted in a change log at the bottom of the live privacy page. If a change materially affects how personal data is handled, we will surface it in the cookie banner so you can review it before continuing.
